A Personalized Approach to Therapy

Every client’s therapy session is personalized to meet their goals and desired outcomes. I find success in utilizing a multi-model approach consisting of CBT, Solution Focused, and Mindfulness.  Investing in yourself through therapy is one of the bravest, most wonderful gifts that someone can give themselves, and I feel honored to be a part of each person’s journey through self-growth.

In- Person Therapy Sessions

In-person therapy sessions are a great way for my clients and I to connect and for me to build personalized insights that meet your unique needs. Those with complex mental health concerns or couples engaged in sex therapy may find that they benefit from in-person sessions.

Virtual Therapy Sessions

Online therapy can be beneficial for those who are unable to travel or don’t have access to necessary therapy needs locally, or those who have a hectic schedule. Online therapy can be just as effective for many – we can discuss what option is better and most convenient for you.

What to expect during sex therapy:

Sex therapy is a specialized type of talk therapy aimed at helping both couples and individuals address sexual health concerns and dissatisfaction.  A sex therapist can help navigate through challenges such as intimacy issues, confidence, exploration of sexual identity, psychological challenges with sex and many other sexually related concerns.  Sex therapists are trained to assess and assist their clients in navigating the concerns and working with clients to find solutions and satisfaction within themselves and their relationships.
 
Sex therapists understand that talking about sexual complications can sometimes be difficult.  Knowing this, the initial therapy sessions typically focus on getting to know the individual or partnerships by covering general health, specific issues and beliefs around sex, as well as sexual background and goals of therapy.
 
It is important that all parties feel comfortable and safe in the therapeutic environment.  Sex therapy does not include any physical interaction between therapist and client at any time.

What to expect during mental health therapy:

During a therapy session, individuals can expect a safe and confidential space where they can openly discuss their thoughts, feelings, and concerns with a trained and empathetic professional. I will likely start by establishing a rapport and fostering a trusting relationship to create a comfortable environment for you.

Sessions often involve a collaborative exploration of your experiences, challenges, and goals. I employ various therapeutic techniques and modalities, tailoring my approach to meet the unique needs of each individual. Expect a non-judgmental atmosphere where you can gain insights into your behaviors, emotions, and patterns of thinking.

Discussions may delve into past experiences, current stressors, and future aspirations, helping you develop coping strategies and tools to navigate life’s complexities. Overall, therapy is a process of self-discovery and personal growth, with the me serving as a guide on the journey toward improved mental well-being.
